Children and families from Brooker Memorial’s Child Care participated in the magic of the holiday season Dec. 8, 2024 by walking in the Christmas Village Parade. We had babies in strollers, a toddler and four preschool/nursery students walking – decked out in holiday attire and all the families had a great time. Executive Director Christina Emery carried one of the signs created by the children with green handprint wreaths. The parade started at the Torrington Armory and made its way up Main Street, and then headed up the hill to end at the Christmas Village. Santa arrived and the city officially opened the facility that will welcome children through Dec. 23. It was a great event and we thank the families for participating!
