80% of Brooker employees helping nonprofits
Brooker Memorial’s Employee Giving Campaign this year has shown a dramatic increase in the number giving to the area nonprofits, with 21 employees representing 80 percent of the full-time staff giving.
The largest number, 15 employees, are participating in the current campaign of the United Way of Northwest Connecticut. Executive Director Lisa Ferris visited Brooker to speak with employees Jan. 19 during a staff training day and shared information about this year’s campaign, “Together We Rise.”
Employees also are giving to Brooker Memorial, with 2 giving to the Pediatric Dental Center and 4 giving to the Early Learning and Child Care Center. These employees are supporting the work done to support Brooker’s mission, “preparing children for lifelong success.”
