Brooker is proud of its partnership with the UConn School of Dental Medicine. Dr. Moises Salas, an assistant clinical professor, oversees a residency program here at Brooker. Each week second-year Dental Residents, under his guidance, treat patients at Brooker. This academic year, the program has expanded to two Residents here each Tuesday.
Dr. Salas has a number of students in the UConn Dental program, who aren’t Residents yet, but who are very interested in learning more about pediatric dentistry. These students now visit Brooker on a few Saturdays a month as an outreach activity to observe patients being treated.
