Christina Emery
Executive Director

Christina joined Brooker Memorial in 2024 and is excited to lead an organization dedicated to children’s health, wellness, and success. She brings over 20 years of community and non-profit experience to the role, formerly serving as the Director of Economic Development for the City of Torrington, the Director of Development for LARC, and Executive Director of Prime Time House.  Christina believes in giving back to her community and actively volunteers on the board of directors for Rotary Club of the Torrington/Winsted Areas, Charlotte Hungerford Hospital, and the Torrington Development Corporation. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and Management from Simmons College and a Master of Arts in Public Policy from Trinity College. Christina and her husband Jason reside in Harwinton and have two children, a son enlisted in the United States Navy, and a daughter at Lewis S. Mills High School.

Lisa A. Ferris
Dental Program Manager / Director of Community Relations

Lisa joined Brooker Memorial in in 2017 as our Program Manager. Growing up in Torrington, Lisa’s family were strong supporters of Brooker Memorial. Her grandfather and Aunt sat on the board of directors, and her father was a corporator. Lisa brings 16 years of experience in the dental industry. Her experience in dentistry management and love for kids makes this position a win-win for everyone. Lisa lives in Goshen, and has 2 sons. She enjoys spending time with her family and friends, taking walks, weekends at the lake and weekends away.

Dr. Archana Karanki, D.M.D.
Dental Director

Dr. Karanki earned her dental degree from the Tufts University School of Dental Medicine and has worked in both private practice and public health in Connecticut. She is constantly evaluating emerging dental methods and technologies in order to provide her patients with the best results with an emphasis on comfort. Dr. Karanki joined Brooker Memorial in July, 2007. She also works in private practice in Windsor CT. She received her Fellowship in American Academy of General Dentistry in July 2017. Dr. Karanki believes in giving back to the community and has volunteered at several Mission of Mercy events in CT and in Guatemala. Serving as the Co-chair of the Litchfield County Oral Health Collaborative, Dr. Karanki is striving to improve access to dental care for all people. She has two active boys who keep her very busy. In her spare time she likes to hike and swim in the summer and enjoys cross fit and yoga in the winter.

Charlene Lee, B.S. Psychology
Early Learning and Child Care Director

Charlene has been working in the field of Early Childhood Education for 20 years and has worked at Brooker Memorial since 2007. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology with a minor in Early Childhood from the University of Connecticut. She has been a classroom teacher, a substitute and now an administrator. She loves working with the supportive staff at Brooker Memorial and getting to know the families and children. The kids make her laugh every day, and she thinks that the hugs are pretty nice too! Charlene enjoys camping with her husband and two children. They enjoy hiking and biking together. She also enjoys working in the garden.

Marcia Geddes
Operations Manager

Marcia joined Brooker’s team in 2023 as its Operations Manager. She holds a Master’s degree in Business Administration with an undergraduate degree in Accounting. Marcia’s entire career has been concentrated in management of various size non-profits throughout Connecticut. Marcia has lived in Northfield with her husband Steve for over 30 years and has two dogs named Bella and Gus. She enjoys spending time with family, decorative painting and is an avid reader.

Kaitlyn Graboski
Marketing and Program Coordinator

Kaitlyn graduated from UCONN in 2020 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Communication. She joined our team in 2021 working on many facets of our business operations. In June, 2023 Kaitlyn received a promotion to a new position as our Marketing and Program Coordinator. Kaitlyn enjoys working with the children every day and is always up for a new challenge. In her new role she will be focusing on grants, marketing, and running our outreach programs; Pathway to Success and Relatives as Parents. In her free time Kaitlyn loves spending time with family, friends and her black lab puppy Sierra.
