Free Parent Training Courses

Creating a Family’s Adoption Courses offers online training for adoptive, foster, and kinship parents. Courses cover topics before and after adoption—everything from home study prep to parenting children with trauma or special needs. Each class is about one hour with a quiz; completing it allows you to earn a Certificate of Completion.
National Family Caregiver Support – WCAAA

Western Connecticut Area Agency on Aging’s Caregiver Services (under the National Family Caregiver Support Program) helps adults who care for older people or for adults with disabilities. To qualify, caregivers must be 18+, or 55+ if caring for a non-parent adult with disabilities. The person being cared for must need help with daily tasks like bathing or have significant cognitive impairment. Services are income-based and may require a cost share.
