Sept. 29, 2026 – Brooker Memorial is expanding access to specialized dental care through a partnership with the Dental Sedation Center of Connecticut in Fairfield.
Our Dental Director, Dr. Suher Baker, now provides monthly treatment for Brooker patients at the center. This allows children with complex dental needs, developmental disabilities, or special circumstances to receive care under general anesthesia. One male patient was able to recently have 5 crowns placed all at one time and another child, who has difficulty sitting still, was able to receive multiple procedures under sedation.
Dr. Baker, BDS, DMD, MS, MBA is a dual-trained board-certified pediatric dentist and dentist anesthesiologist, who previously served as the Department Chair for Pediatric Dentistry at Yale University and Oregon Health and Science University. We also recently welcomed Elouise Bentancourt-Colon as a Dental Program Manager, and she has extensive experience with sedation
