Sharing her knowledge and research into Dental Related Fear, Dr. Suher Baker gave a presentation April 21 to the Litchfield Dental Society at the Venetian Restaurant in Torrington.
Dr. Baker has been part of several research studies examining dental fear while she served as a clinical instructor and chair both at Yale and Oregon Health and Science Universities Department of Pediatric Dentistry and while working at Yale New Haven Hospital.
A group of area dentists were able to hear Dr. Baker’s presentation, which focused on an introduction to Dental Related Fear (DRF) as to why it happens, when it occurs, what triggers the fear and how it manifests itself.
